DACH market entry for companies from outside Europe
Hello.Willkommen in DACH.
Germany doesn’t buy cheaper. It buys trust.
I help companies from outside Europe win clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. On the ground, the way this market really works. Not as a broker.
Two markets. Two clocks.
Slow to win. Hard to lose.

Who you sell to
One meeting. Eleven people deciding.
In Germany, a typical B2B purchase involves 11 people. Each one has a question. Each one can say no. Source: 6sense, 2025

How companies usually enter DACH
Three ways into DACH. Only one starts this month.
Notice periods: § 622 BGB. Ramp-up: new leaders need just over six months on average to break even, Michael Watkins (CIO). Recruiting time comes on top. First orders: my experience, 6 to 12 months or more.

Questions
What CEOs ask first.
Do you work on commission only?
No. The real question is a different one: do you want this market?
If you do, look at how DACH works. A purchase involves 11 people, and in my experience the first order takes 6 to 12 months or more. Nobody serious here works that long for free. Not consultants, not sales people, not agencies. That is not my rule. It is how this market prices expertise.
So I work on a monthly retainer, plus a share of revenue once deals flow. If DACH is the market you want, that is the price of entering it properly.
How long until the first order?
In my experience, 6 to 12 months or more, depending on your product, your price level and how ready your paperwork is. Anyone who promises much faster is guessing.
Do you only work with Indian companies?
No. This page is for companies from outside Europe, from India to the US. My Indian roots help when that is where you come from. If your company is based in Europe, skip ahead and book a call directly.
Do we need German speakers in our team?
Not at the start. I handle the German side. Over time, German documents and German support make a real difference.
