02At a glance
- No tracking. This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
- No cookies. This website does not set cookies. For this reason there is no cookie banner.
- No third-party content on load. Fonts and all other files are delivered from our own server. Nothing is loaded from Google or other providers when you visit the site. The Spotify and YouTube podcast players only load when you click them.
- Data only when you contact us. We only process personal data that is technically necessary to deliver the website, and data you actively send us, for example when you book a call or write to us.
03Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., Cyprus. When you visit the website, the server automatically records information that your browser transmits in so-called server log files:
- IP address (stored in shortened, anonymised form where technically possible)
- date and time of the request
- page or file requested
- referrer URL (the page you came from)
- browser type and version, operating system
This data is required to deliver the website securely and to detect and prevent misuse. It is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. Log files are deleted after a maximum of 7 days unless a security incident requires longer retention.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Hostinger pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
04Encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar and the lock symbol in your browser.
05Booking a diagnostic call
You can book a free 30-minute diagnostic call through our booking page. The booking page is provided by Zoho Bookings, a service of Zoho Corporation B.V., Beneluxlaan 4B, 3527 HT Utrecht, the Netherlands. The data is stored in Zoho’s European data centre.
When you book, we process the data you enter:
- name and email address (required)
- phone number (optional)
- company and annual revenue range (required)
- the revenue topic you would like to discuss (optional)
- the selected date and time
We use this data to schedule, prepare and hold the call and to send you confirmations and reminders. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract at your request). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Zoho pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Booked appointments are entered into our calendar (Google Calendar, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) so that the time is reserved.
06Video calls with Google Meet
Diagnostic calls take place via Google Meet, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you join a call, Google processes connection data such as your IP address, device information, the meeting time and the name you enter, as well as the audio and video of the call. We do not record calls.
Data may also be processed by Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). The legal basis for using Google Meet is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You do not need a Google account to join.
07Podcast: Spotify and YouTube
On the About page you can listen to or watch a podcast episode. The players do not load automatically. Only when you click "Listen here" or the episode image is the player of the respective provider loaded:
- Spotify: Spotify AB, Regeringsgatan 19, 111 53 Stockholm, Sweden
- YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode via youtube-nocookie.com): Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland
When you click, a connection to the provider's servers is established. Among other things, your IP address and device information are transmitted, and the provider may set cookies. The legal basis is your consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can close the player at any time. With YouTube, data may also be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Alternatively, you can open the episode directly on Spotify or YouTube using the links.
08Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details (for example name, email address, phone number and the content of your message) to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Our email is provided by Zoho Corporation B.V. (see above), with data stored in the EU.
09External links
This website contains links to LinkedIn, Amazon, the BVMW (bvmw.de), our booking page, Spotify, YouTube and the published reports we cite as sources for statistics. No data is transferred to these providers when you visit our website. Data is only transferred once you click a link and open the provider’s page. From that point on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
10How long we keep data
We delete personal data as soon as it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Enquiries and booking data are deleted once the enquiry or call has been concluded, and no later than 24 months after the last contact if no contract follows. If a contract is concluded, statutory retention periods under German commercial and tax law apply (generally 6 or 10 years, § 257 HGB, § 147 AO).
